Dear Potential New Members,
Welcome to Gamma Phi Beta at UC Berkeley! My name is Emmi Webb and I’m honored to serve as GPHI’s 2025 Vice President of Membership. Deciding to go through recruitment was one of the best choices I’ve made, and joining Gamma Phi Beta has truly transformed my college experience. This sorority house is my home away from home. From day one, I felt surrounded by women who uplift and inspire one another, and who embody our four core values: Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty. These values are more than just words. They guide our sisterhood, our service, and our everyday interactions. Whether we’re studying late at Doe Library, grabbing coffee at Cafe Strada, between classes, or enjoying our sisterhood retreat at Equinox, there’s a constant feeling of support and belonging. That retreat, in particular, was a moment I’ll never forget. It was full of laughter, connection, and time spent truly appreciating what it means to be part of this sisterhood. One of the things I’m most proud of is our involvement with Girls on the Run, our national philanthropy. It’s incredibly meaningful to mentor and encourage young girls as they gain confidence, set goals, and learn the value of self-worth. We even get to cheer and run with them at their annual 5K. It’s just one of the many ways Gamma Phi gives us the opportunity to give back and grow as women of character. As you begin recruitment, I hope you find a chapter where you feel at home, supported, and excited for the journey ahead. I know I found that in Gamma Phi Beta, and I’m so grateful every day for the women who have become my closest friends, mentors, and biggest cheerleaders. We can't wait to meet you and hear your story. Wishing you the best during this exciting time!
Love,
Emmi Webb
